Representative for EURACEN, the Belgian chamber of commerce
As the EURACEN representative for Costa Rica, I act as a link between Belgian companies and the Costa Rican market

Business liaison for the right connections
In mid-2024, I contacted Mr. De Weerdt, the current chairman of EURACEN. This accredited Belgian chamber of commerce ‘Europa – América Central’, (with HQ in Brussels) represents an extensive portfolio of affiliated Belgian companies with an interest in the Central American market. We were both soon convinced of the added value that I can bring as a EURACEN representative in Costa Rica.
Since then, I have been working as EURACEN’s ‘eyes and ears’ on the ground. I constantly draw on my local knowledge and contacts to detect business opportunities for affiliated Belgian companies, but I also pass on needs from Costa Rica to potential Belgian providers and supply them with valuable information and connections.
As a local business representative, I rely on a solid network of sector organisations, Costa Rican chambers of commerce, trade associations, importers, distributors and many other field players. I visit companies and events to pick up on local trends, organise exploratory meetings with decision makers, and ultimately bring the right people into contact with each other.
Because, as the Chamber’s representative, it is of course my ultimate goal to link up all stakeholders in the most effective way possible. In close cooperation with the EURACEN headquarters in Brussels, I build bridges between Belgian companies and the Costa Rican market for highly interesting projects that boast the potential to strengthen all parties involved.
