Cooperation agreement UCCAEP - EURACEN to strengthen bilateral ties

As foreign business liaison in Costa Rica, I initiated the contact between EURACEN and UCCAEP, which resulted in the signing of an important agreement between both business organisations

Building bridges between Belgium and Costa Rica

As representative in Costa Rica for EURACEN (the Belgian Chamber of Commerce for Central America and the Dominican Republic), I use my in-depth knowledge of this Central American country to forge strategic alliances between stakeholders in Belgium and Costa Rica, two countries that share a historical bond of economic and institutional friendship.

That is why, in early 2025, I initiated talks with UCCAEP, the Unión Costarricense de Cámaras y Asociaciones del Sector Empresarial Privado (Costa Rican Union of Chambers and Associations of the Private Business Sector). With 53 affiliated chambers and associations from a wide range of economic sectors, UCCAEP is the most important umbrella organisation representing the interests of the private sector in Costa Rica.

After getting to know each other through a series of personal and online meetings, both EURACEN and UCCAEP became fully convinced of the significant added value that mutual support and a broad, long-term collaboration between the two organisations could offer to all stakeholders involved, both in Belgium and in Costa Rica alike.

The bilateral cooperation agreement between EURACEN and UCCAEP that was signed on 5 June 2025 as a result of my initiative, is not only a first step, but above all a solid basis for promoting and strengthening business alliances, international trade, and shared projects between Belgium and Costa Rica.
