A lovely, genuine Tico-style day out
Freddy is a retired secondary school teacher and a regular visitor of Costa Rica. When he contacted me, he had one day left in the San José area before flying back to Belgium. He asked me if I could show him somewhere beautiful that wasn’t too far away from the capital. Of course I could!
I took Freddy to a volcano-side restaurant for a lovely local meal of local specialties, showed him a lookout that only Ticos know about with views over the entire Central Valley, and we talked about Costa Rica for hours. Freddy enjoyed a great day before flying back home and I have no doubt at all that we will soon meet again!
