For this project I was contacted by Say Yeah Motion Media, a well-known television production company from The Netherlands.
The benefits of shooting a docu with a local guide
Say Yeah was about to send a film crew for an ESPN Netherlands sports documentary on Bryan Ruiz, the legendary Costa Rican footballer, formerly of FC Twente. As their local guide and interpreter, I assisted the production crew for a few days while recommending shooting locations, fixing contacts, finding interviewees, and providing translations for subtitling purposes.
On Sunday, I accompanied the team during Ruiz’ epic last-ever match against his former Dutch club FC Twente, which had flown in from Europe to join the party. Before the film crew flew back to The Netherlands, I took them on a well-deserved one-day tour to enjoy Costa Rica’s natural beauty and lovely beaches. Because why not? Just Say Yeah! =)
